A-frame Comes of Age | Pawling, NY

After a few years of seasonal rental, the owners decided to purchase this A-frame vacation home. When the time came for them to move here permanently, they needed to winterize and expand the home. The solution was to add low pitch gabled additions to each side which complement and accentuate the steep pitch of the A-frame. One of the side wings houses a garage, mechanical room, and formal entry. The opposite wing has a pantry, a butler’s pantry, a dining area, and a library/study.
